Credit Card Processing — Changing Credit Card Processors Over the last year, we have received many phone calls from clients wanting to change their credit card processor. The credit card industry has gotten very aggressive lately and some are offering rates that are very appealing. As appealing as they may seem, there are some very important issues that you need to be aware of:
- There is usually a two week turn around time to get set up with a new processor.
- There is a $450 minimum charge to reprogram your credit card modem that is payable upfront (we depend on Menusoft to re-program the modem and they charge us for it). The charge could be more if the processor is not on the ball; many times we will have to spend hours on the phone working with some of these new processors just to get the correct information from them, since many of them are unfamiliar with the process.
- If you are using a Datacap Modem, a new updated modem may be required at an additional cost.
We also offer very competitive rates for credit card processing. For more information click here or please call us at 215-340-7550 or email information@posinnovation.net for your free rate quote.
We will be more than happy to assist when switching processors; we just want to be sure that you have all of the facts when making the decision to do so.
Due to Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards, some sites may be required to update their Digital Dining version before any changes can be made. Please see the Credit Card Processing Compliancy section for more information on compliancy.
